August 2026: A day in our high season
The alarm clock goes off at 7:00 a.m. A new summer day in the high season begins! The doors open and the breakfast table is immediately moved to the terrace, which is still nicely in the shade.
While Charles goes to the bakery for crunchy baguettes and warm viennoiserie, Tarcies gets started in the kitchen. Homemade jam, raw milk butter, and lavishly topped cheese and charcuterie boards are prepared. Quickly squeezing the oranges for that ultimate holiday feeling. And just before the first guests arrive? Enjoying a cup of coffee together on the black sofa on the terrace.
During and after breakfast, we take the time for our guests. With customized hiking and cycling routes and the best local tips, we help everyone on their way to a great day. Relaxing by the pool or reading a book under the ancient trees is of course also an option.
Now the work behind the scenes follows.
Time for the mise en place of the dinner
Making rooms in order, washing, drying and ironing. We do the shopping almost daily and on Wednesday morning we go to the market.
In the course of the afternoon, we treat ourselves to a well-deserved hour of me-time. Just doing absolutely nothing.
Then the evening shift begins: setting the table atmospherically and action in the kitchen. Around seven o'clock everyone joins for a cozy joint dinner. Laughter, sharing stories, and enjoying good food and delicious wine.
After a busy day, we cool off nicely with a few laps in the pool. Satisfied, recharged, and ready for tomorrow. Good night!
