Each stay has its own character. Nevertheless, we all share the same passion: hospitality, nature, culture and local traditions. A 10-day trip with three nights at each location, giving you plenty of time to explore the surroundings.
Manoir Bonpassage** is located on the edge of the village of Thury, in a manor from 1850 and the adjacent former ‘Etablissement d’Aviculture Ste Marguerite’ from 1900. This small-scale charm hotel with a swimming pool is situated in the heart of Burgundy between Beaune (35 km) and Autun (25 km) and is run with love and care by Annemiek and Ruud. The Côte d'Or is one of the world's most famous wine regions in the heart of Burgundy. Picturesque wine villages such as Santenay, Pommard and Nuits-Saint-Georges are within easy reach. Whether you want to hike in the beautiful rolling landscape, cycle through the vineyards or visit charming villages like Chateauneuf – en – Auxois, Beaune or Meursault, it's all possible. We also have good arrangements with the most beautiful golf courses in Burgundy, so you can even spend a day golfing. There is plenty to experience for sports, cultural and historical enthusiasts.
The summer castle of the village of Égleny was built in the year 1865 during the reign of King Napoleon III and has a special location directly on the market square, ‘la Place du Marché’. The Chateau and the 2 gate buildings have been fully restored and renovated by Jean and Nelleke. In the atmospheric dining room of the Château, the ambiance and grandeur of the noble times come alive during breakfast and dinner. The region offers something for everyone. The vineyards of the world-famous Chablis and Sancerre invite you to visit, as does the historic city of Auxerre. A beautiful 18-hole golf course is just 8 kilometers away. One of the dependencies has an indoor wellness area with an infrared sauna and a Spa with 6 different massage chairs.
Domaine Les Darbonnets
Amidst the green landscape of the Bresse Bourguignonne lies this charming master's house Les Darbonnets**** from 1830. Charles and Tarcies ensure that you experience the French countryside between the hills of Burgundy and the Jura here. On the domaine of almost 2 hectares, you can always find a sunny or shaded spot, and our heated swimming pool is at your disposal. Cycling along the Saône on the voie bleu, wine tasting in the Beaujolais or Burgundy, walking quiet roads between fields and forests. Some must-sees in the nearby area include the lively large Monday morning market in Louhans (with a separate section for live animals), Bourg – en – Bresse (both the city and the imposing Monastère royal de Brou) or strolling along the quays of the Sâone in Macôn. You will find three beautiful 18-hole golf courses within a short distance, where we can make a reservation for you. In short: something for everyone.
Culinary enjoyment for connoisseurs
On the day of arrival, you can join for a dinner with fresh, local ingredients at each location. On site, you can decide whether you would like to take advantage of the dinner on more evenings.
