April 2026: The big departure

The opening weekend at Les Darbonnets was one not to be forgotten. Under a brilliant sun, guests from the Netherlands and Spain enjoyed the delightful weather, the relaxed atmosphere, and especially the company. Just as we had hoped.

Outside, the sun loungers (with a view) were set up, immediately in use for long, leisurely afternoons in the sun. With a good glass of wine, a book within reach, or a game, everyone quickly found their favorite spot.

The feedback on the rooms and the table d’hôtes was also heartwarming. The dishes, prepared by Tarcies with fresh and local produce, were well-received. It's wonderful to see guests enjoying the care and attention we put into every detail. We are, therefore, very happy with all the positive feedback and our guests' satisfaction.

As the icing on the cake, we ended the weekend with a cozy dinner, where the seasonal dishes (such as asparagus and strawberries) were perfectly paired with the wines Charles had chosen. With the Beaujolais, Burgundy, and Bugey regions just a stone's throw away, our wine cellar has been well-stocked in recent weeks. No complaints here!

All in all, a beautiful start to our new Chambre d'hotes in Chavannes-sur-Reyssouze. We are already looking forward to what the future holds!
